Styer Transportation Co. began operations in 1964. Up until 1985, only a handful of trucks were on the road under the Styer name. Since that time we have grown to over 95 trucks and are currently growing at a pace of 10-15% per year. We are primarily a full truckload carrier of general commodities and our operations take us to all 48 contiguous states with a large percentage of our miles in the upper midwest.

We intend to grow our operations at a rate of 10% per year over the next five years. This growth rate is intended to maintain control of operations in order to ensure consistent and reliable service for our customers and their needs.

There are immediate openings for Over-The-Road Company Drivers and Independent Contractors.  We want to be the carrier you call home.  Many drivers do...and we have a low turnover rate!

We are currently looking for:

Drivers with a service mentality, clean driving record, and a commitment to safety.  Our drivers are out an average of 4 to 5 days at a time. 

Company Drivers: Can expect annual pay of $45,000 to $60,000.  Our top company drivers are earning mid-60s.  We offer a very good pay package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, and a 401K plan.  Company drivers will be in brand new 2006 Volvo or Peterbilt Tractors.

Independent Contractors:  Can expect annual pay of $150,000 to $180,000.  Our top pay was over $200,000 in 2005.  Our compensation package also includes a fuel surcharge program, a plate program, as well as stop pay and mileage bonus.
